You can permanently delete your Meal Hack account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how, what gets deleted, and what we may retain.

Delete from inside the app (recommended)

Open the Meal Hack app and sign in.
Go to the Settings tab (bottom navigation).
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
Confirm in the dialog. Your account is deleted immediately.

Request deletion by email

If you no longer have the app installed or cannot sign in, email support@meal-hack.com from the email address linked to your account with the subject line "Delete my account". We will verify ownership and process the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Your account record (email, name, avatar, authentication identifiers)
Profile and preference data (cuisines, allergens, dietary restrictions, dislikes)
Saved meal plans, recipes, and shopping lists
Feedback you have submitted
Push notification tokens and device identifiers
OAuth links to Google and Apple sign-in

What we may retain

Anonymised, aggregated usage data that cannot be linked back to you (used for product analytics)
Records required by law (for example, payment and tax records related to any subscription you may have purchased) for the period required by applicable regulation, typically up to 7 years
Backups containing your data are purged on our standard rotation, typically within 30 days of deletion

Subscriptions and payments

Deleting your Meal Hack account does not automatically cancel an active subscription billed through Apple or Google. To cancel billing, manage your subscription in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) before deleting your account.
