About Meal Hack

Meal Hack is a South African company building a free meal-planning app for households. It decides a week of meals around what a household actually eats, prices the resulting basket across Pick n Pay, Checkers and Woolworths, and turns it into a shopping list. The apps are free to download on iOS and Android.

We exist to take the thinking out of feeding people, so that eating well stops being a luxury of time and money.

What we do

We decide the week

A household answers a few questions once. Meal Hack builds a seven-day plan around what they actually eat, how much time they have, and what they will not touch.

We price it before you shop

Every plan is costed against real shelf prices at Pick n Pay, Checkers and Woolworths, so the week's food budget is known before anyone gets to a till.

We hand over the list

The plan becomes a categorised shopping list covering only what is missing, so the food already in the house gets eaten instead of thrown away.

Who we build for

Households in South Africa who have to feed people every day on a real budget — working parents, shared houses, anyone tired of answering “what's for dinner?”. Meal Hack is free to use, with no card required.
